The One Handbag Trend Everyone Is Starting to Wear

Waist pack, belt bag, fanny pack—call it what you want, but the polarizing accessory that's been in and out of fashion since its inception is back again. Thanks to early adopters like Kendall Jenner and A$AP Rocky, the fanny pack trend is going strong this summer. The duo was recently photographed wearing his and her versions, Jenner carrying a monogrammed Louis Vuitton classic and Rocky's with a harness-like silhouette.

However, no longer is the practical, tourist-associated carrier simply worn as a waist-hugging accessory. This time around, fanny pack fans are opting for a crossbody look à la Dwyane Wade, breathing new life into the throwback bag. The fresh over-the-shoulder styling lends the '80s staple a modern, sporty look worthy of a comeback, which also has the stamp of approval from one fall 2017 runway (who could forget that bright red Supreme bag from the Louis Vuitton F/W 2017 men's show?).

But back to Kendall and Rocky's latest look: Both coincidentally slung the fanny pack over white tees and casual ensembles that were seemingly inspired by the decade that spawned the bag, making an overall bolder fashion statement.
