Before today, we didn’t think Karlie Kloss needed to add any additional lines to her résumé. She’s a college student, she codes, she mentors, she makes cookies, and she has one of the fiercest walks on any runway in the fashion world. But then we heard about her latest career adventure that’s so unexpected, so exciting, and is giving us the warmest feelings of nostalgia. Kloss has become an official correspondent for Bill Nye’s new Netflix talk show, Bill Nye Saves the World.
As our childhood science hero announced on Twitter yesterday, Kloss will be one of several members of Nye’s crew. In our first peek at the Netflix series, Kloss shared a short video taken under the Arc de Triomphe in Paris where she declares, “We’ll be talking about every nerdy thing you can dream of.” Naturally, she was also sporting a Bill Nye signature: a bow tie.
In retrospect, we can’t be so surprised this partnership happened. Kloss is a huge fan of computer science and was even a special guest at NASA this past summer. Saving the world is only the natural next step, no? We’ll find out when the series debuts in the spring.
