No one does it like us Brits. Fashion, I mean (although we're pretty good at a lot of things, it has to be said). I know we often talk on Who What Wear about how chic the French are, hail the bold style of the Scandis and dissect the laid-back luxe of LA's finest. But I've worked in this industry for over a decade, travelling all over the world for fashion weeks and international shoot trips, and I can honestly say no one nails relaxed cool like British women.

Getting creative with clothes is in our DNA. Just think back to the birth of the mini skirt thanks to Mary Quant in the 1960s, or the influence of the British punk scene on global fashion (designers from Alexander McQueen to Jean Paul Gaultier have all referenced it on the biggest catwalks). Naomi! Kate! Alexa! The list of British fashion icons goes on and on.

Of course, our everyday outfits are usually a lot more low key, but I always see that same casual confidence woven through the wardrobe choices of the most stylish British women I know. So, as we're about to head into a fresh new season, I thought I'd do a deep dive and share a few autumn-ready looks from my favourite Brit influencers that I, for one, plan on replicating over the next few months.

The best thing about all of these outfits, is that despite being really chic and cool, they're also really easy and wearable. Whatever your plans this autumn, whether you're hanging out in the city, escaping to the beach or busy exploring the countryside, there's a look here I'm sure you'll love just as much as me.
