Natalie Portman's portrayal of Jackie Kennedy in the upcoming biopic, Jackie, has already received rave reviews. And thanks to the trailer that was just released, we finally see what all the buzz is about. Portman's performance is captivating, but being the fashion lovers we are, we couldn't help but see the resemblance between the two women as the actress dressed the part.
Kennedy was known for her iconic sartorial sense—oversize sunglasses, pillbox hats, and tailored suits were her signature—and for forgoing an outfit change out of the pink suit she donned on the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. While we'll have to wait until December 2 to see the full movie that captures the first lady's life, the photo of Portman in a red two-piece suit captures the poise and elegance Jackie was known for. In a side-by-side photo of the two women in matching outfits, it's easy to see why Portman was handpicked for the role. Costume designer Madeline Fontaine created the looks for Portman's role, which is getting Oscar buzz, and we're hoping to catch more photos before the film's release.
