Amazon has finally confirmed the internet's worst kept secret. The retail giant is officially heading to Australia, with physical stores slated to come in the next few years.
As reported by Business Insider Australia, the company's founder Jeff Bezos confirmed the news, and promises low prices, a vast selection of goods (electrical will be a focus), and ridiculously fast shipping (as fast as one hour, via Amazon Prime).
Internationally, Amazon is a go-to for fashion. In the U.S., Fortune reports that "55% of online shoppers check Amazon first when they're searching for a product". It's a treasure trove for unlocking affordable finds, like this $7 Hanes T-shirt (that has over 400 positive reviews).
If the local edition of Amazon is anything like its international counterparts, we're in for a real treat.
