It's a dilemma every NYC girl knows well: picking out an outfit that you can wear to the office but will still look chic when you run out for drinks afterward. But it seems like tricky transitional dressing doesn't phase French It girl Jeanne Damas. The designer hosted a small fête in NYC to celebrate the one-year birthday of her much-loved clothing line, Rouje, and her outfit was an effortless combination of polished and party-ready.
Unsurprisingly, Damas selected a dress from her line for the evening, opting for a printed midi dress with button details. A layered blazer added a little extra structure and coverage, making it ideal for the office, and while Damas's pumps make her ensemble feel party-ready, swapping in flats for daytime is an easy way to transform a look. The French take on day-to-night dressing is unfussy, and luckily, it's very easy to try out at home.
