I Love Jewelry That I Can Wear 24/7—This Is the Collection I've Been Wearing Every Day
I've made it my mission to find jewelry made for 24/7 wear—pieces I can throw on for hot Pilates, the office, and wherever else my day takes me without worrying they'll get ruined in the process. I'm a gold-jewelry wearer with a budget that never exceeds $350 a piece because I want my jewelry to feel lived in, not tucked away in a box for special occasions. With this in mind, I'm excited about the launch of the Kendra Scott Ever collection. It features 14K yellow gold-filled pieces that are water-, sweat-, and tarnish-resistant, and don't feel too precious to wear. Plus, they're beautiful and come in designs simple enough to layer with one another. While I'm particular about this category, fellow editor Aniyah Morinia is even pickier, so I had her test-drive a few Kendra Scott Ever pieces on a typical Wednesday. Her thoughts are below.
"I can never leave the house without a pair of earrings on. They complete every look, and they're the kind of accessory I'll run back into my apartment for no matter how much of a rush I'm in. This means that I'm often the only person in my Pilates classes with jewelry on. What can I say? My jewelry is an extension of me, so I show up with it no matter where I'm going. What I love about this collection is that I don't have to remove my jewelry before class starts out of fear that sweat or intense movement will damage or rust the pieces. The pieces are lightweight, 14K yellow-gold filled, water- and tarnish-resistant, and downright chic. I feel so much more motivated during my workouts knowing that I can wear the jewelry pieces that boost my confidence without sacrificing comfort or style." — Aniyah Morinia, senior editor, branded content
"As a fashion and beauty editor, I've tested a wide variety of jewelry over the years, and one of my biggest struggles is seeing it tarnish over time from consistent wear. I've experienced several brands that claim to be tarnish-resistant but end up looking brassy after a few months. This collection is different. I can spend an entire workday going between meetings, walking the streets of Times Square for lunch, and typing away at my computer knowing that when I look down I'll see stunning gold-filled pieces that will look essentially the same years from now. For this look, I stacked a ton of Kendra Scott Ever bracelets so that they'd peek out from under my jacket sleeve when I'm typing. My favorite piece that I styled was the choker. It's elegant and makes you forget that I'm wearing a T-shirt under my jacket." — Morinia
"Excuse the dramatics, but having jewelry that you never have to take off is quite life-changing for someone with a busy schedule. Sometimes it feels like the time it takes to remove my jewelry before a shower is much too long. When I have to go from one event to the next, I like that I can focus on adding more pieces and not removing them! For a cocktail event in the city, I changed into a brown maxi dress and let these gold-filled pieces really shine. I kept the same choker on because it's just that good, along with the majority of my bracelets. I added a few more to make a stronger stack that would show when I'm reaching for a drink or shaking someone's hand." — Morinia
