Handwritten notes will never go out of style, especially when they’re created by a high-profile fashion designer. New York City–based designer Zang Toi has partnered with social expressions company Papyrus on a new collection of greeting cards inspired by his intricate and meticulously embellished designs. Likewise, treatments on the cards include textured fabrics, jewels, beading, feathers, and detailed stitching, which is an example of the careful construction that goes into all of Papyrus’s cards. The collaboration marks the first time a greeting card company has partnered with a fashion house.
“Papyrus is known as the couture standard of the greeting card industry,” Toi says. “The company creates unique and handcrafted cards. This is what I do as a designer, and we put beautiful craftsmanship and precious detail into each card in the collaboration. These are for women who truly love fashion.” The collection will launch during the upcoming New York Fashion Week in conjunction with Toi’s runway show on September 13.
