The first Monday in May is around the corner, which means it's time for the fashion world's biggest event: the Met Gala. We've learned that this year, Apple is teaming up with the Costume Institute to provide an element of tech for the festivities, which seems fitting given the event's title, "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology." But have you ever wondered about where all the fabulous guests, including Hollywood A-listers and designers, primp for what Vogue’s André Leon Talley calls the “Super Bowl of fashion"? We certainly have!
Vogue reports that there are six NYC hotels that host the rich and famous, along with their glam teams, for the big event. Among the six is The Mark, one of Manhattan's most exclusive luxury hotels located on 77th Street and Madison, only a few blocks from the Metropolitan Museum. Last year, the Upper East Side establishment accommodated the likes of Kate Hudson, Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and even Vogue editor in chief and the event's chair, Anna Wintour. If you're curious to read about the other five locations, check out Vogue.com. Who knows? You may choose to treat yourself to a night at one of these luxe hotels next time you're in the city. In the meantime, take a peek at some of last year's celebs getting ready at The Mark, and keep scrolling to shop pieces inspired by this year's theme.
