And Now, the Classic Luxury Buys Our Editors Will Stand By Forever
It’s no secret that us Who What Wear editors love to find chic buys at a more affordable price point. Of course, there are some great value, classic pieces to be found on the great British high street that will last a long time in your collection. But sometimes, when curating your forever wardrobe, you’re looking to spend a bit more on quality, luxury items that then elevate the rest of your wardrobe effortlessly. And while we do love an expensive-looking bargain, as experts in the industry we also know a thing or two about a smart designer fashion investment.
So, as we're heading through the summer season, I thought I would ask my fellow editors: what’s on your luxury wish list right now? And their answers didn’t disappoint. We’re talking beautiful, buttery-leather bags, summer dresses and glossy accessories. Pieces that they love now but will also stand by forever. One thing’s for sure, these women know how to elongate someone else’s wish list in a heartbeat—you've been warned.
Below you can see and shop their current luxury shopping picks. Not everything on our lists is wildly expensive—some are little luxuries— but rest assured when they do come with a higher price tag, it’s on there because we believe it’s worth every penny. There’s some all-time classics we’ve been lusting after for a long time, and some fresher new-in pieces that already seem just as timeless. Any one of these buys, though, feels rightly special, and will add polish to your everyday wardrobes for many years to come. Keep scrolling for some luxurious shopping inspiration…

"When it comes to bags, Bottega Veneta can honestly do no wrong. I absolutely adore their woven-style leather bags and have recently been obsessed with their new Large Parachute shoulder bag. From the chic deep brown hue to the easy shoulder straps, this would be the perfect companion for days out and about in the city."
"Surprisingly, I have never been a belt kind of gal, until the Khaite Benny studded belt popped onto the scene. As the weather warms up and I’m wearing less layers, I’m in the market for some fun accessories to style with my summer looks. And I think the bold studded detailing on this belt easily fits the bill."
"If I could, I would live in a pair super wide-leg jeans. I wear denim all-year round and love wearing loose jeans during springtime. I have been lusting over SLVRLAKE's styles for a while now, especially the Selena wide-leg in this very versatile wash. I can see myself styling these with oversized blazers for the office and a simple tank and sandals for brunches out with my friends."
2. Maxine Eggenberger, Deputy Editor
Shop Maxine's Picks:
"Posse is known for intentional, simplistic, considered pieces and the Emma waistcoat exemplifies that. As a modern staple of the fashion person's wardrobe, a waistcoat will work hard in my summer wardrobe with jeans, shorts, skirts and sleek tailoring alike. Not the elegant high neckline and soft curved hem."
"We're all aware of the allure of the Margaux bag, a modern icon of The Row. Whilst I've long had this bag on my wish list, this particular style is considerably unique. Featuring an east-west silhouette as well as intricate woven outer, this particular Margaux is a serious forever piece."
"Jewellery is my weakness and although I don’t wear quite as much as I used to all at once, one thing you’ll always find me sporting is a gold earring. This pair from Lié Studio will improve all of my outfits, I just know it."
3. Rebecca Rhys-Evans, Senior Fashion & Beauty Editor: Branded Content
Shop Rebecca's Picks:
"There are two trends I am here for in SS24: mesh and Mary Jane ballet flats. So if I can find items that put them together, you can guarantee they'll be on my wish list. I love how they look with denim on cooler days, and when it's warmer I'll put them with a mini skirt and linen shirt for ultimate French Girl styling.'"
"A tank dress remains one of my favourite summer pieces, but Proenza Schouler takes it further with this silhouette. From the fitted top blooms a full skirt with a slight dropped waist for a touch of added elegance. Plus, it features hidden pockets to show the brand's prowess in combining practicality and style."
"With holidays on the horizon I've turned to upgrading my summer wardrobe into a forever capsule that will go the distance. First things first, a timeless basket bag. As these return each and every year, I'm investing a little more in a truly luxurious style, with plenty of room for dog treats and a good book when strolling through the city, or beachside necessities when abroad."
4. Humaa Hussain, Junior Branded Content Editor

"This silk blend blouse is topping my wish-list this month. I have a few of the Toteme sets so I can attest to their amazing quality and chicness and this stripped vwrsion is just chef’s kiss."
"Imagine how cute the trousers would look with a white knit tank and some chunky sandals- the perfect holiday combo."
5. Florrie Alexander, Acting Affiliate Editor

"I've been considering a new addition to my handbag collection, and the key thing I'm searching for is eternal style. Naturally, I turned to Prada. With a structured silhouette and elegant minimalism, this tote has made its way to the top of my wish list. The hard part is choosing which colourway to go for, but I've settled on the crisp white to add a lightness to all my looks this summer, and forever."
"Perhaps due to the arrival of Wimbledon, or the simple fact that this style of bracelet is consistently in style, I've turned to Monica Vinader to upgrade my arm stack. The tennis bracelet has grown in popularity in the past few months, but for me has always been a piece I've coveted. Bringing a touch of elegance to any look, this fine line of diamonds feels fitting for daily excursions as well as elegant evenings out."
"One piece I always come back to in the warmer seasons is a white summer dress. Without a forever style in my arsenal, I found myself scrolling through Dôen's array of delicate dresses to find this elegant style. Picture this with tan sandals and a basket bag, or strappy black heels and clutch."
6. Natalie Munro, News Writer

"Ideal for a brimming summer calendar, this pretty top is destined to be a key player for all elegant plans. With a sleek asymmetrical design and exquisite draping, The Row has shown off its craftspersonship with this timeless piece."
"This season I’m reaching chocolate brown accessories over deep black every time, and this rich espresso sandal is the latest to rise to the top of my wish list."
"Whilst I tend to stick to classic neutrals summer is the time when I look to liven up my staples. For the warmer months, Khaite offers a seriously chic way to integrate a splash of sunshine into our wardrobes."
7. Poppy Nash, Managing Editor
"I recently got engaged and so am fully in my bridal era and opting for white for every occasion this summer. Something on my wish list is a does-it-all mini like this simple Matteau style. I’d wear it with sandals and a linen blazer to the office, strappy heels with I go out for drinks with my girlfriends, and Birkenstocks on holiday."
"I’ve been a RayBan fan for most of my adult life but this summer I want a slightly funner sunglass shape to take on holiday. This Celine pair is iconic, and I know that the tortoiseshell design will go with ever one of my outfits, all year Rond."
"Can you tell I am in full summer mode now that the sun has made an appearance? I’m (very luckily!) off to the South of France and Majorca this year and am in need of a new pair of comfy yet chic sandals. These slides are just as good for travelling as they are for wandering the beach, exploring villages and dinners out."
