From Striped Knits to Suede Accessories, Here's a Taste of the Newest Spring Finds From Madewell, SSENSE, and More
Shop in Shop is a monthly column dedicated to rounding up the latest arrivals, seasonal trends, and styles from our favorite brands and retailers.
As much as I'd love to be wearing slip dresses, midi skirts, and strappy sandals, we're not quite there yet. I'm still in a codependent relationship with my coats, scarves, and gloves, so I'm looking for spring arrivals that are a bit more transitional. The styles that come to mind are bomber jackets, trenches, new jeans, and polo long-sleeve shirts. They're the kind of pieces I can layer now, and wear on their own once the temps go up (unless you're living in L.A., of course). But if you're also being tested by our East Coast climate and eager to move on to a different style season, these new arrivals from SSENSE, Madewell, Quince, and Aligne are your fix.
SSENSE is hitting the transitional-weather trifecta with these new arrivals. It's got practical yet stylish flats, light layers, and new-season accessories to tide you over. Add any of these into your closet to reinvigorate your outfits until it's time for a full seasonal swap.
Madewell's latest arrivals include pieces I've already been wearing nonstop. I am loving the Denim Crop Field Jacket ($158) for its funnel-neck collar and adjustable, waist-shaping drawstring. Madewell has so many great pieces right now, it was a challenge to choose just six.
For spring style inspired by the London fashion set, head straight to Aligne. Its collection of outerwear is top-tier, with leather trench coats, suede jackets, and the brand's signature tailored blazers. I'm also loving the knitted tops, specifically the striped one below.
Everyone, and I mean everyone, needs to re-up on wardrobe basics, and Quince is my top recommendation this spring. Made with organic cotton, the brand's tanks, tees, and long-sleeve ribbed shirts are incredibly soft and comfortable. Shop my current favorites below.
