FRAME Denim Is Officially Winning at the 70s Trend

Jessica Schiffer

Walking into the FRAME Denim Fall '15 presentation earlier this morning was like taking a trip back in time. Suddenly it was the 70s, or at least a modern take on the sartorial highlights of the era. Think Ali MacGraw, or Jane Fonda in Klute. Psychedelia was thankfully kept out of the picture, making room instead for sharp flared blue jeans, chocolate brown culottes cinched with a wide belt and a mustard suede trench to make Annie Hall weep. Those colors are perfectly in tune with the autumn season, topped off nicely by a creamy maroon top and a closet's worth of navy. Of course, it was the denim we came for, and with the perfect flares and just-slouchy-enough boyfriends on offer, we're calling FRAME the one-stop-shop for denim this fall.
