I Tried On So Many Pairs of White Jeans—These 7 Chic Styles Stood Out

White jeans are a timeless denim staple that I wear year-round, regardless of the season. But there's no doubt that in the summer months they're perfectly suited for numerous warm-weather occasions. Whether styled with a chic halter top for an evening out; a button-down and belt for the office; or an oversize graphic tee for casual summer weekends, the closet classic is as versatile as it is chic, and if you ask any editor on our team—is 100% worth the investment.
Of course, shopping for the best white jeans can depend a lot on individual preferences of fit and style. In an effort to make your white jeans shopping a little easier, below, I'm sharing some of my own personal cool-girl favorite white jeans that I tried and tested in the past month. Keep scrolling to see the 7 chic pairs that stood out to me for a number of reasons, including their fit, quality, and style. High-Waisted Straight-Leg
Agolde 90's Pinch Waist Crop
Agolde's Pinch Waist jeans have been a long-time favorite among our Who What Wear fashion editors, and since I already own their slightly longer length version in blue (which I usually roll up), I was excited to try the crop version which are a perfect fit. The length falls right at the ankle—which is perfect for styling with heels and flats alike. The silhouette is a high-rise straight-leg which I find one of the most versatile denim styles you can own. This pair has a rigid non-stretch feel which softens over time. Because of their versatility and vintage-inspired fit, they're one of the pairs I reach for most often.
Material: 100% Regenerative Cotton
Sizes: 23-34
Type of rise: High-rise
Pros: Perfect length to wear with flats or heels
Cons: Creases easily

Mid-Rise Straight-Leg
Alex Mill Jane Mid-Rise Straight Jean
If you love vintage-inspired jeans as much as I do, then Alex Mill's Jane jeans are for you. They have a cool '90s mid-rise silhouette with a classic straight-leg that looks just as good with thong sandals as they do with heels. In true vintage fashion, these are rigid, non-stretch jeans that you break in as you wear them. Simply put, these jeans are incredibly cool.
Material: 100% non-stretch, cotton denim
Sizes: 24-33
Type of rise: Mid-rise
Pros: Excellent fit, true to size
Cons: Rigid button-fly

Levi's 501 90s Jeans
Another excellent pair under the mid-rise straight-leg category are Levi's 501 90s jeans. This pair features a slightly looser fit through your hip and thigh with a little bagginess throughout the leg. This is definitely more of an ivory/ecru color (rather than bright white) which I like for variation in my summer wardrobe. It's non-stretch, and has a cool vintage feel. Moreover, it's great value for money—clocking in at under $100.
Material: 100% Cotton
Sizes: 23-34
Type of rise: Mid Rise
Pros: Good value for money
Cons: A little big at the hip

Wide-Leg Baggy
Citizens of Humanity Paloma Baggy
Citizens of Humanity are one of my favorite denim brands, and since I didn't have a white pair in my wardrobe from the brand yet, I had to try a pair. Citizens' Annina High-Rise Wide-Leg jeans are one of my all time favorites but I decided to try their Paloma Baggy style this time around and they did not disappoint. Insanely comfortable and soft, these lightweight jeans sit slightly lower at the waist and have a relaxed baggy silhouette giving them a cool-girl feel. As with most Citizens jeans, they are long in length so you can hem them to the right spot for your height.
Material: 65% Lyocell 35% Cotton
Sizes: 23-34
Type of rise: Mid to Low-Rise
Pros: Incredibly comfortable, soft, and trend-forward
Cons: Quite long—needs to be hemmed

High-Waisted Wide-Leg Crop
Madewell The Perfect Vintage Wide-Leg Crop Jean
In summer, I love a cropped silhouette that I can slip on with easy slide sandals and a fitted tank. Madewell's Perfect Vintage Wide-Leg Crop jeans do not disappoint. The silhouette is incredibly flattering—high-waisted with the perfect size wide-leg crop. They're stretchy, comfortable, and versatile. Something to note is these are not bright white but more of an off-white/ivory hue giving them a fashion-forward feel. Madewell has always been a go-to brand for reliable and cool denim at a relatively affordable price point, and I think this pair in particular is good value for money. (I usually size down in Madewell jeans so I got these in size 26).
Material: 98% cotton, 2% elastane
Sizes: 23-24W
Type of rise: High-Waisted
Pros: Super flattering with just enough stretch
Cons: Need to size down

Low-Rise Wide-Leg
Still Here Cool Jeans in Milk
I already own—and love—Still Here's cult-favorite "Cool" jeans in classic blue, so I needed no persuading to try them in their Milk wash. These jeans 100% live up to the hype and I couldn't recommend them more if you're looking for a low-rise silhouette to add to your arsenal. The adjustable drawstring toggle is unique and adds a casual-cool touch to the jeans. The quality is amazing, and simply put, these jeans look cool AF on. I recommend getting them hemmed if you're planning to wear with sneakers (which I do a lot).
Material: 100% Cotton
Sizes: 22-32
Type of rise: Low-rise
Pros: Great quality and trend-forward
Cons: Pricey

Slim/Straight
Frame Le Sleek Straight
If you're looking for a slim-fitting pair that are as comfortable as they are chic, then Frame's Le Sleek Straight jeans are the pair to try. These are crazy comfortable with super stretch, and features a high rise and relaxed straight leg that hits at the ankle. These are perfect to dress up or down, and honestly, are the next best thing to wearing leggings! The unexpected subtle flare at the hem is giving major Bella Hadid vibes.
Material: 57% Regenerative Cotton, 38% Rayon, 3% Elasterell-P, 2% Elastane
Sizes: 23-34
Type of rise: High-Waisted
Pros: Super stretchy and comfy
Cons: Slightly flared at the hem (but not mad about it)
