Jennifer Lawrence is clearly in the know about this, as she just stepped out in NYC wearing the number one jean-and-boot combination for spring: cream-coloured ankle boots and light-wash, straight-leg jeans. It makes for a vaguely '90s look that you can't go wrong with right now, and it offers a welcome reprieve from winter's black boots and darker denim.
While in years past, stark-white boots have been the norm, 2019 is all about a subtle update: cream. The trending hue is easier to wear and looks great with all washes of denim but particularly the lighter wash that Lawrence is endorsing.
