7 Items I'm Buying to Make My Outfits Look More Expensive This Autumn
If there’s one fashion skill I pride myself on being proficient in, it’s the art of making my outfits look expensive without spending a lot on them. Hey, we all have our thing. Previously, I’ve waxed lyrical on everything from expensive-looking Amazon finds to fashion girls I follow for expensive-looking outfit ideas. Today, I’m going to be sharing some of the chicest new-season pieces and biggest autumn trends that exude a luxe-looking touch but don't carry a hefty price tag.
Luckily, the autumn season ahead provides some chic styles that can help us look like a million bucks without spending it. Think mock-croc accessories, silky fabrics and bougie detailing like silk scarves, tie-ribbon blouses and pleated skirts—all of which elevate an outfit to plush new heights. Scroll below for the items I’m buying ASAP to make my outfits look more expensive this autumn.
Mock-Croc Bags & Shoes
Glossy crocodile-effect shoes and accessories were a huge trend on the autumn runways. Mock croc always looks so luxe, and luckily this season there are plenty affordable bag and shoe options to nail the trend.
Belted Blazer
Nothing makes an outfit look more pulled together and refined than a belted blazer—a trend that will dominate our feeds this autumn.
Pleated Skirt
Pleated skirts were omnipresent on the autumn runways—from ecru pleated maxi skirts paired with sweaters at Chloé to check pleated midi skirts and blazers at Celine. Add chic knee-high leather boots to complete your luxurious-looking autumn outfit.
Silk Scarves Tied in a Bow Around the Neck
A silky satin print scarf tied in a bow around the neck makes your outfit look expensive and polished. A quick, easy and affordable way to elevate even the simplest jeans and tee outfit.
Silky Fabrics
Nothing looks more luxurious than silky separates. Invest in a black slip dress or spaghetti strap top to add instant elegance.
Cream Hues From Head to Toe
Whether you opt for a slouchy off-white suit or mix tones and textured layers in cream and camel hues, wearing neutral tones from head to toe exudes sophistication and looks costly. Break up the look with rich tan accessories.
