Owning a pretty set of bra and panties is something almost every woman desires at some point in her life—if not for everyday wear, then at least for special occasions. But taking care of your delicates is a whole ‘nother ball game—fabrics like lace, mesh, spandex, and the like can be extremely difficult to properly care for, but for the sake of extending the longevity of your favorite lingerie, it’s a necessity.
So when we stumbled upon this genius trick for washing delicates, the practical-loving side of us squealed with delight! Say goodbye to the days of painstakingly washing bras and underwear in a sink, getting water all over your bathroom, and dealing with the drips while your nibbly bits hang-dry. Enter: the salad spinner.
How to Do It:
1. Drop your intimates into your salad spinner with lukewarm water and a gentle soap like Woolite, or even a baby shampoo. Let it soak for a minute or so, then start spinning.
2. Give your delicates a few good spins, then dump out the soapy water. Rinse out the spinner, put your delicates back inside, and then fill it up with cool water. Spin it a few more times to ensure your items are fully rinsed of all soap.
3. Dump out the water, place your items back in the spinner, and give it a few more spins. This will release excess water and help speed up the drying process.
4. Hang your delicates so they dry the rest of the way. Voilà!
