Zoë Kravitz Wore the Sandal Trend I Didn't Think Would Last This Long

Do you remember a few years ago when elevated flip-flops were considered controversial? Who What Wear editors (myself included) wrote story after story on how flip-flops were "polarising." For this reason, I never thought they'd stick around for long. But now, we don't even blink an eye when someone is spotted wearing them. And in case you were wondering if flip-flops would be cool again this summer, your answer is here.

Earlier this week, Zoë Kravitz was photographed walking around New York City in flip-flops. Since Kravitz doesn't wear anything that isn't cool, what she does wear is a pretty good indicator of what's "in" and stylish. So yeah, I think it's safe to say it wouldn't be risky to order another pair of flip-flops for summer 2023. Kravitz paired her chic square-toed flip-flops with baggy trousers and a trench coat to create the perfect early summer outfit if you ask me.
