This Brand Has Convinced Me That Clogs Are Cool
Of all the microtrends that have popped up this summer (not to mention in 2020 as well), the clog trend has to be my favourite. Last year, I spotted Fabrizio Viti's super-pretty daisy versions and they've been all over my Instagram feed ever since. The Italian designer might not be a name you immediately know, but you will instantly recognise the fashion houses he's created footwear for. From Gucci to Prada, he now remains the Shoe Style Director of Louis Vuitton where he's been since 2004.
It's no surprise then that his eponymous label, which he launched in 2016, has given us a host of incredibly chic shoes. This season, my favourites have been the daisy-adorned clogs, both the gingham and shearling versions, as well as the raffia sandals. The mix of chunkier-style shoes and the über-pretty daisies is what really draws me to these pieces. They're perfect for wearing with summer dresses but I can just as easily picture wearing them with a pair of blue jeans and a white tee. Keep scrolling to see them in action and then shop my favourites below.
