The One Trainer Style Every Fashion Person Will Wear in 2026
I'm calling it now: the white leather Derby sneakers will be the key shoe that every stylish dresser owns in 2026.
The runways, celebrity looks, street style scene, and outfits on social media feeds are already indicating how trainer trends are shifting this year. While there are many styles on our radar for 2026, one key trend is expected to prevail: derby trainers. Michael Rider introduced the shoes on the runway for his debut at the Celine resort 2026 collection with a sleek white leather pair that was styled with everything from jeans to trousers. Then, he doubled down on the style for the spring/summer 2026 collection, where they appeared with miniskirts and tailored outfits. Now that they're hitting the Celine stores, they're in high demand as everyone adds the bright white trainers to their spring capsule wardrobes.
The shoe trend is also appearing in the spring collections of other brands. With styles from Celine, Reformation, and Zara, they're available in a range of silhouettes and price points.

How to Style Derby Trainers
Style Notes: This nautically-inspired outfit is one that I'm planning to recreate all season. long for the office. The white button-up, navy boxy blazer and white leg trousers just look so elegant with the derby sneakers.
Style Notes: The derby trainers! The waisted blazer! The wide-leg culottes! This outfit ticks off so many of the key 2026 trends.
Style Notes: I don't think there's a single shoe style that stovepipe jeans don't pair well with. But these straight-leg jeans and white derby trainers might just be my favourite combo yet.
Style Notes: Derby trainers not only pair well with trousers, but with skirt season almost upon us, they're the perfect footwear style to wear with mini styles.
