The June Fashion News You Can't Miss

The phrase “June gloom” feels a bit misleading, especially since this month ushers in loads of thrilling collaborations (like Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz & Lancome) and product launches from some of our favorite labels (hello, Rag & Bone!).

  • From the fashionable food magazine you simply must buy to the chic shoes you’ll want to save up for, read on for stylish and noteworthy news galore--and more--in today’s Hearts!

  • A girl can never have enough party heels, and this next collaboration offers the perfect excuse to invest in a new pair! Combining luxury footwear with awe-inspired bijoux, the Mawi for Bruno Magli collection--which also features clutches, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets--is what shoe dreams are made of. Each decorative heel, including the Koroneia Pumps ($1100) in Emerald and Black and the Gazivoda Pumps ($1100) in Purple, is encrusted with ornate, bejeweled embellishments for a timelessly chic finish.

  • As fashion fanatics and full-on foodies, we’ve been waiting for a magazine like Cherry Bombe to come along for years! The brainchild of former Harper’s Bazaar editors Kerry Diamond (who also co-owns buzzy Brooklyn restaurants Seersucker and Nightingale 9) and Claudia Wu (also the founder of graphic design firm Orphan), the artfully designed, bi-annual magazine celebrates women and their contributions to the culinary scene. The Tastemakers Issue--which is available on newsstands and in select bookstores and magazine shops now--features recipes, essays, and Q&As from contributors like director Sofia Coppola, photographer/illustrator Garance Dore, and chef/writer Gabrielle Hamilton of New York’s beloved Prune. Our advice? Buy Cherry Bombe now because a) you’ll love it and b) this is sure to be a collector’s item someday!

  • The backpack is the new tote, so it’s not surprising to see that so many notable designer iterations are popping up on the market right now. The latest luxury backpack to hit the scene comes from Dior’s Creative Director Raf Simons and EASTPAK. Inspired by the latter’s iconic Daypak, the cool collaboration--which will be available at Barneys New York and Opening Ceremony this month--is made from silk jacquard in six stripe patterns and seven solid colors. It's perfect for stylish jaunts around the city, and we have a feeling backpack connoisseur Cara Delevingne would approve too!

  • While Lancome whips up brilliant makeup, Alber Elbaz has mastered fashion fantasy as the designer for Lanvin. This month, the two join forces to bring you Lancome Show by Alber Elbaz, a collection of Lancome’s most beloved Mascaras ($29), Eye Palettes ($52), and False Eyelashes ($35), colorfully outfitted in new, completely collectable packaging by the designer. We’re personally swooning over Color Design Star Palette in Midnight Rush, but check out the entire line to find your favorites!

  • It pretty much goes without saying that the ‘90s are back in big way, and J.W. Anderson solidified the decade’s triumphant return with his one-off capsule collection for Versus Versace (the Italian fashion house’s diffusion line). The designs feature plenty of Gianni Versace-by-way-of-punk pieces, complete with androgynous crop tops, silk jersey minidresses, enlarged safety pins, and skirts with thigh-baring slits, all in a club kid-inspired color palette of black, neon pink, cobalt blue, and yellow. We’ve got our eye on the lace panel knit skirt and off-the-shoulder top, but be sure to check out all of the pieces at Versace.com on June 15th,

  • Still on a quest for the perfect summer shades? We can definitely help you out in that department. Rag & Bone recently launched three new sunglass styles for the season, each completely covetable in their own way. The Keaton ($325) has a retro round shape and comes in the perfect shade of coral, while the Monroe ($325) lends just the right amount of tomboy flair. Can’t resist a cat-eye frame? Then don’t miss the Ridley ($325). Whatever style appeals to you, this is an investment worth making.

  • Tall girls rejoice, because model Karlie Kloss has teamed up with the new and notable denim label FRAME to create the perfect jeans for long-legged ladies. Kloss designed two essential denim styles, the Skinny ($219) and the Flare ($209), which are equipped with a 40-inch inseam and cut from soft, stretchy fabrics for a comfortable and flattering fit throughout.
