Zara's New Collection Is Like Something Out of a Fashion Fairytale

There's rarely a Tuesday or Thursday that I don't check Zara's app and feel a twinge of excitement to scroll through that day's new arrivals. That said, I only allow myself to bask in true Zara-induced giddiness on two occasions per year: When the autumn/winter Studio collection is revealed and six months later when its spring/summer companion debuts. And as luck would have it, today is one of those days.

This morning, Zara launched its S/S 23 collection and subsequent fairytale-esque campaign, which was shot by renowned fashion photographer Steven Meisel and styled by Karl Templer. The collection, according to a press release, was based on the premise that rules—at least when it comes to fashion—are meant to be broken and there is beauty in contradictions. To bring this to life, the design team took inspiration from a handful of otherwise contrasting style aesthetics from different fashion locales. "It's a mix of Parisian sensuality, a bit of London rebellion, some Scandinavian earthiness, mixed with the simplicity of dressing for a New York summer," the release explains.

See how Zara's designer brought this vision to life by shopping its brand-new S/S 23 Studio collection below.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with a suit, especially one as vintage inspired and unique as this one.

The song "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" by Cake comes to mind, and I'm not mad about it one bit.

Nothing says fairytale like a sheer, tiered sundress with tiny, intricate details.

I love the idea of styling a long shirtdress with pants for an oversize, unexpected look.
