You've Been Rolling Your Jeans Wrong This Whole Time

We all have different preferences when it comes to styling specific items. Think about it. You may not tie a scarf the same way as your best friend does, or you may differ when it comes to tucking in your blouse (we love this method, FYI). The same applies to jean rolling. Showcasing a touch of your ankle continues to be a major trend in the street style world, and while you can totally just cuff your jeans once and be done with it, there is a trick most fashion people use to create the perfect, low-key jean roll—and keep it in place and tapered all day long.

Keep scrolling to check out our step-by-step GIF that showcases how to roll up your jeans the fashion way. Plus, go a bit further to shop some of our favorite denim of the moment. You're bound to find something you'll absolutely love.

Step 1: Grab an inch of fabric, about three inches up the side of your jeans.

Step 2: Fold that portion over, keeping it tight in place.

Step 3: While still tightly holding onto the folded portion, begin rolling up your jeans.

Step 4: Roll the hem three times total.
