Max Hurd
Max Hurd is a London-based art director, tastemaker, interior stylist and creative consultant whose eclectic career reflects the vibrant influences of a childhood spent in Brazil. Beginning in retail with Anya Hindmarch, Max went on to model for Burberry before collaborating with iconic brands including Manolo Blahnik, Farfetch, Asprey and Cartier. His career evolved organically into blogging, influencing and ultimately creative consulting, where his distinctive eye for detail and storytelling informs projects across fashion, interiors and lifestyle.
Perennially inspired by the 1970s, Max’s personal style is defined by large collars, high-waisted trousers and a magpie-like penchant for costume jewellery. Alongside his creative direction and interior work, he is also an editorial contributor, writing on interiors, decoration and lifestyle, where his distinctive voice blends cultural references with a passion for design, craftsmanship and personal style.
Max’s expertise spans interiors and lifestyle projects, collaborating with brands such as Farrow & Ball, Abask, H&M and Patrón Tequila, bringing together his sensibility for colour, texture and narrative. His own home - frequently featured in editorials for House & Garden, the Financial Times and The Sunday Times Style - reflects his exuberant aesthetic. As Max describes it: “Oscar Wilde meets Marie-Antoinette by way of a Brazilian bordello,” a phrase that offers a glimpse into his playful and richly layered approach to design.
With a career marked by versatility and a keen eye for beauty, Max Hurd continues to curate, write and create across interiors, fashion and culture, leaving an indelible mark on the world of art direction, styling and creative consultancy.
