Monica Ainley de La Villardiere is a Paris-based fashion and culture writer and broadcaster, whose work explores style as a lens on the world. A Canadian-born journalist educated in the UK and France, she has written for international titles including VOGUE UK, VOGUE France, The Sunday Times Style, The Telegraph, PORTER, and ELLE Canada. Monica co-created the influential Fashion: No Filter podcast, known for its candid conversations about the fashion industry, and Fanfare podcast, a culture show that counts Margaret Atwood among its past guests. She also cowrote and presented a documentary for Paris Premiere comparing Parisian Fashion and British style.
Monica is the author of Mon Review, her weekly dispatch on aesthetics, literature, and the rituals of contemporary life. She also shares reflections on style and storytelling with a global audience on Instagram @MonicaAinleyDLV.
