According to the Runways, This Is *the* Color Combo of 2026

The whole "pop of red" color trend has been popular for many seasons, but now it’s more about mixing it with other colors rather than using it as an accent on its own. During the wintertime, red with purple was one of the biggest trends and is still going strong, as seen at Miu Miu’s fall/winter 2025 show and Prada’s and Celine’s spring/summer 2026 shows.
Now, the runways are pointing to a new coupling: red and blue. It was seen at Celine, Jil Sander, and Loewe’s spring/summer 2026 shows, and even Prada’s fall/winter 2026 collection.
To get an expert perspective, I asked color analyst The Color Countess for her thoughts—especially as more people factor color analysis into how they get dressed. "We can absolutely lean into color analysis and still play into fashion trends," she told me. "Red and blue are in every single season. I love that pairing the most because I think it's so simplistic. There's a true red and a true navy in every season, but I know the blue you're talking about is a little bit more vibrant. I think we can play with the trend still—all you're doing is shifting the hue to make it feel more individualized."
