Very frequently, I’m introduced to emerging fashion brands that have recently landed or are about to. Whether by way of press appointments or Instagram sleuthing to find out the new labels fashion insiders are wearing, I discover fresh brands that often inspire the pieces I’m personally adding to my closet. For 2019, there are some on-the-rise fashion labels I’m particularly excited about and have a hunch are about to be everywhere, so I decided to try them out for myself.
First, there’s Rowen Rose, a Paris-based label founded by Emma Rowen Rose that I discovered on Instagram back in September when I spotted some of the most fashion-forward influencers wearing pieces from the brand. Though the pieces won’t be for sale until later this year, the brand already has a fashionable roster of supporters. Street style fixtures like María Bernad, Emili Sindlev, and Ellie Nesmon are early adopters of the label and have been snapped wearing everything from electric suiting to ankle-grazing satin dresses to buttercream vinyl blazers.
Another label that has stolen my heart—and the attention of fashion girls across the industry—is Danish brand Rotate. Co-founded by influencers Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen, the brand is designed to include pieces the two women want to wear themselves. Their debut collection, full of ’80s silhouettes and detailed fabrics, landed at luxury retailer Net-a-Porter—a strong indication of its bright future. Ahead, see how I’m wearing pieces from the brands and why these emerging fashion labels are set to be huge in 2019.
