A 75-year-old American brand, a legendary French designer, and an iconic fashion photographer—these are the subjects of three of our favorite new books for fall, and every single one of them is required reading, as far as we're concerned.
Coach: A Story of New York Cool chronicles the entire history of the popular-as-ever brand. "The scrapbook style layout, designed by internationally esteemed art director, Fabien Baron, spans from its beginnings of six artisans working in a small Soho workshop in New York City in 1941, steadily growing to the revered fashion brand it is today," the press release reads.
Released this week, Yves Saint Laurent: The Perfection of Style provides an "intimate look" at the life of the famous and influential designer, while Peter Lindbergh: A Different Vision on Fashion Photography goes behind the lens and explores the photographer's best work. All in all, you can't go wrong with any of these three books—but we highly recommend stockpiling all of them for fall and winter's chilly months.
