H&M's Expensive-Looking Autumn Edit Is So Good—I Need You to See It
Autumn collections are coming in thick and fast now, from both luxury brands and the high street. I swear every year they arrive earlier than the one before, but for once, I’m actually so ready for colder temperatures and more layers. That might have something to do with the sense of renewal September always brings, but I have a feeling it’s also down to the calibre of the newness that’s arriving at some of my favourite stores. Filled with gorgeous outerwear, sumptuous leathers and boots—glorious boots—my new-season mood boards are already well under way.
There is one new collection in particular that has seriously impressed me this week, though, and that’s H&M's. This autumn edit is so good, in fact, that I’ve dedicated a whole article to it here because, put plainly, I needed you to see it. There are so many affordable pieces that look so premium, and I’m not talking ridiculously trend-led items either. These are wardrobe classics that you’ll no doubt wear on repeat this season and then pull out next year as well. Take the checked blazer, which is just begging to be paired with some classic blue jeans and cowboy boots—a look Princess Diana would have approved of.
Talking of boots, H&M isn’t messing around this year and has released its key styles already, from chunky knee-highs to suede Western-style designs, which are bound to sell out before it’s even cold enough to wear them. Then there’s that classic black wool coat and perfect leather jacket. Honestly, these pieces are too good to miss.

Leather blazers are an autumn classic, and this faux version is so affordable but still looks so luxe.
H&M's wool coats always sell out because they look extremely expensive, but they're not.
Wide-leg leather trousers are something to invest in for A/W 22 if you haven't already.
A bold striped button-down is such an easy way to make a style statement with your autumn layers.
There's no chance this statement knit is going to hang around for long.
This biker has already sold out once—sign up for restock alerts on the product page so you don't miss out again.
Use this as a jacket now and as a layer under your favourite coat later in the year.
