Nordstrom is a go-to retailer for a wide variety of items. Two departments I—and the rest of the fashion crowd I know—shop regularly are basics and shoes, especially sneakers. So yes, you're going to find the best new basics and sneakers below that will make any outfit feel relevant and cool.

For basics, I focused heavily on the more elevated silhouettes that are still versatile, but trend-forward (ahem, a fun jacket and capri pants like highlighted above).
