Are V-Neck Shoes Spring's Most Flattering Trend?

Allyson Payer

Leave it to one of our favorite former bloggers (now fashion director of The You Way) to point out the S/S 16 shoe trend that will make your legs look their very best, just in time for warmer weather. Pernille Teisbaek is a self-professed fan of Céline’s V-neck pumps, which she owns in graphic zebra print and which have been updated in olive-green suede for spring (as well as a slew of other styles featuring the V-neck detail). Teisbaek endorsed the shoes on The You Way this week, citing their ’80s vibe (a look that she’s craving right now) and their “perfect simple silhouette.” As she explained, the style “does wonders for lengthening your legs,” and “even a low or mid-heel can elongate the appearance of your ankles.”

We wholeheartedly agree with Teisbaek’s reasoning. (This editor has witnessed the slimming effects firsthand, courtesy of the Zara pair below.) This summer, Teisbaek suggests pairing V-neck shoes with cropped jeans or a miniskirt to show off your legs.
