5 Things Stylish Women Pack for a Long Weekend Getaway

Packing for a month of travelling through Europe in summer? Easy. Packing everything you need for a weekend in the Blue Mountains or a South Coast road trip into one overnight bag? Hard. Ahead of the Easter long weekend, we asked five fashionable jet-setters what they always pack in a weekender.

Keep scrolling for the ultimate overnighter packing list every stylish lady should follow.

ONE

I always pack my Louis Vuitton Leopard Scarf ($1060) as it is guaranteed to give a bit of texture and life to any outfit.

TWO

One of my Hermés Kelly totes is an essential as it can be worn two ways, which can easily take you from day to night.

THREE

My new Dior Split Sunglasses ($551) go with me, because if you’re going to throw some shade you may as well do it in style.

FOUR

A Saint Laurent Satin-Trimmed Blazer ($3330) is a must—you can match it back with a pair of comfy jeans during the day and then drape it over your shoulders matched back with a classic structured ensemble for the evening.

FIVE

Lastly, my kids Pixie and Hunter, who always ensure it will be a good time. And on that note, maybe some Justin Bieber music if a car trip is involved.

ONE

I love to laze around in my Vale Natural Spring Denim Shorts ($140)—perfect to go from beach, to lunch, and back to the beach again.

TWO

I just purchased an iPhone 6 Plus and needed a shirt with a pocket that would fit it. So I designed a new oversized shirt with giant front pickets to fit it in! Perfect for holidays.

THREE

A Panama Hat always makes the cut. I invested this summer in a really great quality super flexi one that was handmade in Panama, one that can never be destroyed—BE SUN SMART!

FOUR

My Balenciaga Canvas Tote ($1525)—it's so lightweight and will be a chic addition to any holiday outfit.

FIVE

Some K Jacques Black Caravelle Sandals ($332). This season I added an all black pair to my collection and they’re perfect for day to night vibes.

ONE

I’m obsessed with La Mer and I lather the ultimate Crème de La Mer ($420) on my face, neck and hands daily. Travelling so much, it’s essential to keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

TWO

No weekend away is complete without throwing in an Issey Miyake Bao Bao bag ($745) for good measure. The Bao Bao folds and transforms to accommodate items inside, the ultimate travel bag!

THREE

Vetements by Demna Gvasalia is the brand on everyone’s lips and it's becoming a favourite new designer. The Vetements Collared Long Sleeve Shirt Dress ($775) can be worn with a sandal or trainer as a chic weekend ensemble.

FOUR

The perfect carry all, this Chloé Faye bag ($3275 has been all over the streets of Paris, from the showrooms to the front row. I like the intricacy and statement of the flower patchwork.

FIVE

Stylish and practical, the Acne Studio Jens Suede Boots ($445) are the perfect height from day to night.

ONE

I always travel with a really great book, that I will have to force myself to put down in order to spend time with whoever it is I am meant to be spending the weekend away with. Girl In A Band by Kim Gordon ($27), is particularly addictive.

TWO

A cute dress that can be a bit fancy when it needs to be. I like this ASOS Floral Print Dress ($119), because it’s a flattering shape on me.

THREE

A cotton jersey long sleeve tee from Bassike is the material embodiment of a long weekend in March—it’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. Also excellent for when packing for a trip with a mystery location.

FOUR

Is there anything worse than forgetting your sunglasses? No. That’s why I always pack two pairs. The Karen Walker Super Duper Strength Sunglasses ($329) is one of them.

FIVE

The only thing I don’t like about weekends away is that I can’t take my overindulgent arsenal of night time beauty products with me. For instances of extremely limited packing space, I can get by with just the A'Kin Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil ($15).

ONE

My beautiful Louis Vuitton Keepall ($2170), which I coveted for years before I finally got one. It’s on display in my bedroom as it’s too gorgeous to store in a cupboard, but I love any opportunity to take it away!

TWO

My Banjo & Matilda Travel Blanket ($325) is a must—it’s such beautiful quality and the cosy factor means I always feel at home.

THREE

I always pack my favourite SK-II Skin Signature Masks ($190), as when I’m away is the only time I ever have to lie down and apply one!

FOUR

Books and magazines were such a huge part of my life before I had babies, and they’re a total luxury now. I’m reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tart ($20) and my go-to mags these days are The Collective and Porter.

FIVE

I love nothing more than exploring new places on foot, so packing my workout gear is a must.
