I Think Sophie Turner Is Easily 2019's Most Exciting Dresser

I’ve got a confession to make: I’ve never seen Game of Thrones. Not a single episode. This is mainly because I’m not one for violence, nor do I have the patience required to wait close to a year for a new season to begin. There was a time when people went about saying "Winter is coming,” and, unbeknownst to me, I’d respond saying, "Yes, it is.” That’s how out of the Game of Thrones loop I was. However, one thing I do know about the show is that Sophie Turner got her breakout role, and for that I’ll be forever thankful.

I’ve long been obsessed with the 23-year-old actress’s look: Her once–fiery red hair—which has since turned ice blonde—and porcelain skin are matched in their beauty only by her eclectic fashion sense. With a penchant for pieces reminiscent of the ’80s, Sophie—who also starred in the latest X-Men films and recently married her longtime partner, Joe Jonas—has a knack for making them look incredibly sophisticated by wearing them with ladylike separates.

In fact, her sartorial flair has earned her a coveted position as a Louis Vuitton spokesperson, with many of her best looks having been created by the French fashion house. That doesn’t mean, however, that she’s a slave to labels: Her off-duty ensembles are as expertly put together as her red carpet attire is, proving that she really does know a thing or two about style. From retro paint-splash prints and architectural dresses to sharp suiting and downtime denim, keep scrolling and you’ll see I’m right to be obsessed with Sophie Turner’s style.

For the 2019 Emmys, which were held in September, Sophie wowed on the purple carpet in this sculpted oyster-hued satin gown, created especially for her by Louis Vuitton.

We love how Sophie has made her basic black ensemble look incredibly stylish with the addition of a shocking pink jacket.

This look is fierce with a capital F. The matching colour palette between husband and wife is also incredibly pleasing.

The cuffed hems on these trousers give them a playful, ’80s-esque spin—exactly what Sophie looks for in her outfits.

For the premiere of her latest X-Men film, Dark Phoenix, Sophie once again turned to Louis Vuitton to help her dress for the occasion.

We don’t know if Sophie has ever looked better than when she sported a faux fringe and an embroidered navy velvet suit—both of which she donned for an appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

We don’t know what we love more—Sophie’s outfit or her high, glossy ponytail.

For 2019’s Met Gala extravaganza, Sophie ensured she turned heads in this striking sequin leotard from Louis Vuitton. Her new husband, Joe Jonas, wore a coordinating look which was also 10/10.

Once again, Sophie relies on an ’80s-style jumpsuit for an effortless red carpet look.

If anyone can convince us that minidresses are back, it’s Sophie.

For the screening of the finale of the last-ever season of Game of Thrones, Sophie looked the ethereal part in this white gown, complete with jewel panels and spliced sleeves.

For Vanity Fair’s 2019 Oscars after-party in February, Sophie wore a gold sequinned gown complete with ruffle detailing from—yep, you guessed it—Louis Vuitton.

Sophie loaned her support at Louis Vuitton’s autumn/winter 2019 show by wearing the brand head to toe. Lucky thing.

Sophie keeps things playful in an off-the-shoulder minidress and hard-to-pull-off white courts for a Game of Thrones screening in 2015.
