Non-Boring Pants Exist—This Is the Color Trend of Choice for Cool 20-Somethings Like Adéla
Gen Z is trading basic black trousers for this fun color trend.
Back in July, I went to Paris to celebrate H&M's collaboration with Wardrobe.NYC (and caught some couture shows too). Before the party, H&M's PR team told me that Adéla, the next big thing in music, was expected to attend. They asked if I would like to interview her, and even though I didn't know her name at the time, the H&M team spoke so highly of her that I would've been crazy to turn it down. If you didn't catch the resulting Instagram video on Who What Wear's account, you should probably head over there now.
Just three months later, Adéla's name is seemingly everywhere. You probably know her biggest song, "Nicole Kidman," which has been going viral on TikTok for weeks. (Kidman herself even lip-synced to it with Dua Lipa, Pedro Pascal, and Kristen Wiig.) Most recently, Adéla appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon wearing a Greg Ross outfit with Saint Laurent shoes and Pandora's The Together Collier Necklace, styled by Chris Horan. Listen, I don't blame you if you don't want to wear low-rise red leather pants, but I highly encourage you to try out the fiery color trend in more approachable ways. Cool 20-somethings are obsessed with red jeans, capris, trousers, and yes, leather pants. Scroll down to shop some of my favorite pairs of interesting pants.
