Based on Rihanna's past airport looks, it's clear that comfort is key. Case in point (sort of): She arrived at JFK this week wearing a cozy sweatsuit and baseball cap, along with her favorite Dior logo tote. Sounds pretty typical, right? Well, if you look down at her feet, you'll see that instead of sneakers, Uggs, or slides (her usual airport footwear options of choice), she wore Manolo Blahnik heels that can best be described as bridal.
Manolo Blahnik heels are a popular choice for brides, especially the jewel-embellished Hangisi pumps (the style Carrie Bradshaw favored). Rihanna's are similar to those classics but with slingback straps and sculptural heels. To complement the fancy silver, satin shoes, she wore oversize Balenciaga earrings, both of which were very successful in dressing up the light-gray sweats.
