Not Mini, Not Maxi—the Chic Skirt Trend Fashion People Are Wearing This Summer

I wore miniskirts almost exclusively for years, so it took me a while to get into other hemlines. Eventually, I started wearing midi skirts during the spring and summer, and they've become staples when it's too hot to think. Then, last fall, I rediscovered a length I'd previously overlooked: the knee-length skirt. The more I wore it, the more I realized it's the perfect in-between and, in my opinion, the chicest and most put-together skirt.
My first was from Cou Cou, followed by Charlie Beads' 90's Bias Mini Skirt, which hits right around the knee on me. Now, I'm fully invested. Next on my wish list are Leset's Barb Satin Midi Skirt, Guizio's Paloma Skirt, and the Home of Hai x Brooke Callahan Straight Skirt.
For styling inspiration, associate fashion director Eliza Huber recently wrote about white knee-length-skirt outfits, and associate director of special projects Kristen Nichols covered knee-length skirts paired with kitten-heel pumps.
