Not White, Not Butter Yellow—Zendaya's Spring Dress Color Will Be Everywhere Come May
While promoting her latest film, The Drama, Zendaya was spotted wearing a silky pink dress and a long fuzzy coat in a slightly darker shade. It was a small departure from the bridal looks she's been wearing on the film's press tour, but equally as ethereal.
It also served as a reminder that some color trends are forever. The term "millennial pink" may no longer be in the zeitgeist, and perhaps was even shunned by Gen Z initially, but there's no denying that the shade seems to be creeping back into the mainstream again. This time with no generational label.
It's also the perfect color to wear to welcome spring that doesn't feel as matrimonial as white or as trendy as butter yellow. As Zendaya demonstrates, it's also easy to wear with the heel trend of 2026, and nothing about it feels dated. It clearly works across generations: for millennials, Gen Z, and beyond.
