Lindsay Lohan Knows That This Will Always Be the Coolest Way to Wear a Millennial-Coded Denim Jacket
As a Gen Zer, I'm into it.
I’m a Gen Z fashion editor, but now and then, a millennial-coded outfit will inspire me. I know there’s an ongoing light-hearted “beef” between the generations, but I have to admit, millennials are arbiters of chic taste. I’ve been on a nostalgia kick lately, looking for trends from the past that are still considered classics, and one recent outfit, in particular, piqued my interest. While on set in Brooklyn for her new movie Count My Lies, Lindsay Lohan wore a millennial-coded traditional denim jacket (cropped and slim-fitting) by Balmain.
I haven’t worn a slim-fitting denim jacket such as this since middle school. The oversized-fitting jackets paired with chokers came onto the scene, and I forgot about the slim-fit, but Lohan wore her denim jacket in a way that reminded me of how cool they can be. She paired it with matching jeans and a crisp white T-shirt. Her accessories of choice? A brown leather bag (but not just any brown leather bag, an Hermès 35 Birkin in a luxurious chocolate hue). For shoes, she opted for a pair of black Ugg Disquette Slippers with a fuzzy trim. Frankly, this is a look I could see any cool Gen Zer wearing, from Kendall Jenner to Emma Chamberlain.
