But let’s be real; not all braid styles are created equally. And as tempting as it can be to try the latest trending styles, in the long run, these can cause more harm than good to your natural hair. I’m not trying to brag, but as a beauty writer who’s tried a lot of different braid hairstyles over the years, I have a pretty good idea of which braid styles actually protect the hair and which ones to avoid due to the high manipulation needed to install them.
