Wait, I've Just Pinpointed the Coolest Spring Haircut for Those Who Don't Want to Go Short
The "overdue haircut" trend is this season's coolest style.
I was scrolling through Instagram the other day, and I came across a photo that made me audibly gasp. The photo in question? A picture of Camila Morrone on the current press tour for the Netflix series, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen. As you'll see below, Morrone is practically glowing, and while her outfit and makeup are certainly on point, it was her hair that stopped me in my tracks. In fact, I screenshotted the photo immediately so that I could show everyone I know just how good this hair trend looked.
While 2025 was the era of the sleek bob hairstyle, it seems this season, more and more celebs are opting for long, wavy hairstyles with a certain "undone" quality that makes them look effortlessly chic. The defining factor of these styles is that they have an element that appears almost too long, as if the wearer skipped a couple of trims in favour of length and body (or used a whole can of Living Proof's Full Dry Volume & Texture Spray). In my opinion, this trend is giving all of the cool-girl, California-esque vibes that say, "I'm too laid back to go to the salon," you know? It's the lazy-girl length that is unequivocally cool, and it seems that all of the celebs agree.
I've actually spotted this trend so much that I've decided to name it. Say hello to the "overdue haircut" trend. Below, I've rounded up my favourite looks that prove lazy girls reign supreme this spring, and I've even included some of my favourite products to get the look because, let's face it, no hairstyle is ever that effortless.

Use a texturising spray or large curling wand to add slight movement to your ends for a relaxed feel.
Even if you have straight hair, this style can still look effortlessly cool. Especially when paired with a longer fringe.
