And the Pantone Color of the Year Is…

With 2017 just around the corner, it's time to say goodbye to Rose Quartz and Serenity and embrace Pantone's new color of the year: Greenery. The bright springy hue may seem an unexpected choice, but according to Pantone, it is meant to represent "a color snapshot" of the current global culture and mood. Translation: There's a greater message behind the pick.

"Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose," notes Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute in a statement.

When it comes to fashion, at first glance, bright green may seem like a tricky choice. But armed with the right pieces, it's a color that will no doubt help you stand out from the crowd. So embrace the coming year in an invigorated way, with a little extra greenery in your life (and wardrobe).
