When it comes to head-to-toe ensembles you actually leave the house in, it doesn't get much more casual than the tracksuit. The sporty getup has consistently been a staple among exercise enthusiasts and those looking to not put too much effort into an informal look but still wanting to match. Earlier this year, tracksuits came back in a big way beyond those previously mentioned categories. The coordinating sportswear was spotted on celebrities from Kendall Jenner to Rihanna, in luxe reiterations from Chloé to Gucci (and let's not forget the sweats-styled track offering from Vetements that rings up at $1115).
Last night, Kristen Stewart was the latest to join the impressive lineup of celebrities endorsing the look. Promoting her movie Personal Shopper at the New York Film Festival, the actress stepped out in a custom-made Chanel tracksuit. The satin ensemble paid homage to the notion of tracksuit—with clean, athletic stripes at the collar, waist, and sleeves—while fully upgrading the casual staple into a red carpet–ready statement.
