Kim Kardashian West Just Re-Created Carrie Bradshaw's Most Iconic Outfit

There's no doubt that Sex and the City's fashion influence continues to this day—and we have a slew of 2019 Who What Wear stories to prove it. But our fashion editors are far from the only ones inspired by the legendary Carrie Bradshaw. In fact, none other than Kim Kardashian West just paid homage to one of the TV character's most iconic outfits of the entire six-season run: her Dior newspaper-print dress.

Attending an event for Wardrobe.NYC's collaboration with Levi's in Los Angeles, Kardashian West wore a newspaper skirt from the same Dior F/W 00 collection that Sarah Jessica Parker wore in the show. The newspaper dress even made a reappearance in the Sex and the City 2 movie, further cementing its iconic status. Scroll down to see how Kardashian West wore the vintage look and revisit the iconic runway show designed by John Galliano.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
