Use Instagram's Search and Explore Feature
"Using Instagram's Search and Explore feature, type in the place you're getting ready to shoot, and you'll see both the top posts and the most recent posts that were shot there. Notice what the posts look like. Then get creative and take your shot in a completely different way. Think about how you can improve upon what's already been posted. This isn't about competing with the Instagram community, but rather trying to challenge yourself through your photographs. This method pushes your creative boundaries and brings out your true shutterbug." Song suggests tips like put someone or something in the shot and to focus on the caption as ways to deal with shooting a popular, clichéd place.
