Right up there with Sex and the City and The O.C., Gossip Girl has solidified itself as one of fashion girls' most-beloved TV shows. Now, the show is coming back to the small screen 12 years after first introducing us to the iconic Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf. According to Deadline, the reboot will be aired on the forthcoming HBO Max streaming service, which launches in spring 2020. It appears as if the show will feature a fresh cast, as it's focused on a "new generation" of teenagers. However, we're keeping our hopes up for cameos or other roles to be offered to the beloved cast.

The show will be written and executive produced by Joshua Safran, the same showrunner as the original version. Deadline revealed what the premise of the reboot is: "Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media—and the landscape of New York itself—has changed in the intervening years." Color us intrigued. In the meantime, scroll down to revisit our favorite outfits from the OG show.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
