*Not* a Trench—This Transitional Jacket Is the Secret to Looking Elegant Between Winter and Spring
If there's someone we would trust to know about transitional wardrobe staples, it would be Dua Lipa. It feels like she is always in between a tour, a book-club meeting, and a far-flung idyllic vacation. The pop star is bouncing between time zones and seasons like it's her job, which... it kind of is. Right?
That being said, she is somehow living out of the world's biggest and chicest suitcase and always has the right outfit for any occasion. Just the other week, she was spotted out in New York wearing the ideal coat for the ping-ponging weather, which is currently oscillating between too hot and too cold. It was a long, sleek black coat worn over a simple white dress and matching heels. It's the kind of coat you need when you can't decide if it's true spring or fool's spring. (It changes by the day here in New York.)
The coat feels like a dress coat but is actually just a really elegant alternative to a standard trench coat. It also feels far more dressed up than a denim jacket. While we may not have the kind of schedule Lipa has, this feels like something we can wear endlessly throughout spring until it is time for those idyllic vacations she's inspired us to book.
