This Is How 9 Stylish Celebs Pull Off Ankle Boots in the Summer
Ankle boots are one of my all-time-favorite shoe styles for two reasons. The first is that they're incredibly versatile. When it comes to my more casual outings, like grabbing lunch with a friend, running errands, or shopping on a lazy Sunday afternoon, I'll pair them with jeans or shorts. To attend high-brow dinners and work events, I'll pair them with polished skirts and dresses. Ankle boots are one of the few shoe styles that look good with just about anything while suiting just about any situation. In other words, they're foolproof.
The second reason I love ankle boots so much is that they're the ultimate transitional item, which is why I find myself reaching for them especially around this time of year when late summer is rolling into early autumn. One day, it's hot and humid; the next day, it's breezy and there's a chill in the air. Ankle boots are my favorite footwear solution to this shifting and, at times, frustrating weather.
Some of the most stylish celebrities seem to agree with me because they've been spotted wearing their ankle boots with pride (I'm talking about A-listers like Hailey Bieber, Kim Kardashian West, and more). Keep scrolling to see how nine stylish celebs pull off their ankle boots in the summer. These outfits are guaranteed to take you effortlessly through summer and into fall.
Kendall Jenner wears her short, black ankle boots in warm weather by pairing them with high-waisted jeans and an oversize plaid shirt. I don't know about you, but this seems like the perfect summer-to-fall outfit since it will keep you warm as the weather shifts.
I'm currently crushing on these glossy, black, croc-textured ankle boots.
Ashley Graham matches her slim white shades to her graphic tee and her sleek, heeled ankle boots. She put together an outfit that's both perfectly matched and accessorized.
Hailey Bieber is the queen of wearing ankle boots in the summer. Her outfits are effortless in that specific model-off-duty kind of way. I appreciate the way she incorporates pink into three different pieces: her boots, her shirt, and her glasses. It makes her outfit look casual yet polished.
I'm sure that these velvet boots would be Bieber-approved.
Hailey Bieber wears ankle boots so often I had to include her on the list twice. Here, she wears flat, black lace-up boots with a patterned minidress and an oversize jacket. It's one of my favorite outfits she's ever worn.
Halle Berry makes ankle boots the foundation of her airport style, pairing them with jeans, a ruffled blouse, a satin overcoat, and a giant tote bag. It's stylish and practical.
These little Western booties are so cool and easy to pull on with jeans and a crossbody bag.
Alicia Vikander attended the Louis Vuitton Cruise 20 fashion show wearing a pair of pointed ankle boots that look slightly Victorian in design. She certainly looks the part of an LV muse.
Kim Kardashian West is a fan of snakeskin ankle boots, at least according to this outfit she wore out and about while in NYC. To replicate it, all you need is the ankle boots, a pair of elastic sweatpants, and a bandeau top. It's a genius combination of basic items.
These snake-print boots look super similar to the ones KKW wears. Plus, they're under $100.
Sophie Turner is also a fan of snakeskin boots. Here, she wears a pair of hiker boots from House of Holland while walking around Paris with Joe Jonas. C'est très chic, non?
While Turner's exact pair are out of stock, you can still snag this similar pair.
Okay, I have to admit that this photo of Priyanka Chopra was taken in spring, not summer. However, I still think it applies to the topic at hand. There's just something very fresh and summery about the stark-white and lime-green color combination.
I'll wear these lace-up boots to channel my inner Priyanka Chopra.
Ciara attended the Kids' Choice Sports Awards wearing these white boots with high socks. It was an unexpected look but a stunning and modern one all the same.
I wouldn't be surprised if this were the exact pair Ciara wore on the orange carpet.
Next up, the eight shoe styles that are about to blow up.
