Jennifer Aniston, French Women and Our Editors Use This Product for Glowing Skin

With summer well and truly on its way we're using it as an opportunity to try out some of the newer trends (boxer shorts, anyone?) and embracing some shorter hemlines in our dresses. But with more skin on show, the hot topic in the office is which product help to transform our dry, sunshine-deprived limbs into gorgeously glowy pins for the season ahead. The answer? A generous slathering of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse.

Starting life as a staple French pharmacy product way back in 1991, you'd be hard-pressed to find a stylish Parisian who doesn't have a bottle of this multipurpose oil in their bathroom. Since then, it has gone on to sell 20 million bottles worldwide and reportedly counts celebs such as Jennifer Aniston and Eva Mendes as fans. So what is it that makes this product so deserving of its cult status, and how should you use it for the best results? Keep reading to find out.

What is Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse?

Made up of 98.1% natural ingredients, Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse contains seven precious oils to create an intensely nourishing formula. In addition to Tsubaki, almond, camellia, borage, hazelnut, macadamia and argan oils, it's also enriched with vitamin E for moisture that deeply penetrates even the driest of skin types.

The unique thing about this oil, though, and one of the reasons I love it, is that it's actually a dry oil. This means that it sinks in quickly to your skin without any greasy residue you might associate with heavy-duty body lotions or oils. In fact, I often put this on after my morning shower and get dressed for work immediately. Oh, and it smells absolutely incredible—just like summer holidays.

But the beauty of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse doesn't end there. As well as intensely hydrating even the most parched limbs, it imparts the most gorgeous glow to your skin. Just a few drops massaged over your legs add an instant sheen to the skin. This is ideal if you're thinking of embracing bare legs again soon, especially after months of encasing them in tights and jeans.

And it's not just on your legs that it works wonders. I've patted this onto my collarbone and shoulders when I've been wearing an off-the-shoulder number at a wedding, and I've even applied it to my cheekbones as a makeshift highlighter. Thanks to its dry texture, you can also smooth it through the ends of your hair to add shine without any hint of residue.

Are there other versions of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse?

If, like Jennifer Aniston, you prefer your glow with more of a sun-kissed finish, Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse also comes in a gold-shimmer version. Containing the same much-loved formula, it might look intensely glittery in the bottle, but once applied to your skin, it delivers a warm glow with golden flecks for extra luminosity. Applied all over, the glow is a little too intense for me, but on sunny days, I love applying just a small amount down the front of my legs for a subtle shimmer.

Plus, if the original, sun-soaked fragrance isn't your thing, it also comes in a fresh floral scent that's so beautiful.
