Earlier today, our good friends over at Edited let us in on a little swimwear secret, and clearly, we couldn't keep the news to ourselves for very long. Emily Bezzant, head analyst at Edited, told us, “While you don’t need to put your bikinis into storage this season, the one-piece has made an explosive comeback this year. It’s not surprising due to current [athleisure] trends and our quest for comfort. Retailers are capitalizing on this growth with a bevy of flattering and daring styles for 2017.” If you are as into swimwear as we are, this new data makes so much sense, seeing as nearly every swimsuit brand and/or retailer has been churning out some of the most innovative and exciting one-pieces we’ve seen in a long time.
Edited also told us that “one-piece swimsuits are selling out three times faster, taking 37 days to sell out on average, compared to 106 days for full-price sellouts for the same time last year. Figure-flattering and tummy-control designs are showing the greatest movement, along with traditional, round-neck swimsuits.” You heard it here first, folks. This is clearly the swimsuit style to be seen in this summer, and according to this data, some of your favorite styles are sure to sell out much faster than you were anticipating—three times faster, to be exact—so you’d better get shopping.
Go on to shop some of our favorite one-piece swimsuits on the market right now.
