You already know Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton's wardrobes like the back of your hand, but they are far from the only well-dressed royals in England. To get the scoop on the overlooked names you should know, we went straight to our favorite insider: Hannah Almassi, the London-based editorial director of Who What Wear UK. Who better to tap than an expert on both fashion and royals?
Almassi revealed three exceptionally well-dressed British royals you might not have heard of: Emma Thynn (aka Viscountess Weymouth), Lady Violet Manners, and Lady Amelia Windsor. Scroll down to see their best outfits and read up on why Almassi loves them.
Emma Thynn, Viscountess Weymouth
"Apart from the fact that living on the Longleat estate (it's home to a well-known, rather eccentric safari park in Wilshire) and having the title Viscountess is just all kinds of cool, Emma Thynn is a very well-dressed chef, mother, and model with an impressive event wardrobe," Almassi told us. "When her husband succeeds his father as the Marquess of Bath, she will be the first marquess of color in British history. I also think her wedding dress was one of the best royal wedding dresses!"
Lady Violet Manners
"Violet and her sisters, Eliza and Alice, are known for being jolly good fun (too much fun if the neighbors' complaints about their all-night parties are to be believed), but Violet is also very well-connected in fashion circles and always looks nothing short of fabulous when we've seen her," Almassi says.
Lady Amelia Windsor
"Often dubbed the 'most beautiful royal' or the 'coolest royal,' Amelia has been courted by fashion magazines and luxury brands since a young age," Almassi says. "Rather than securing this coverage and interest by virtue of being 37th in line to the throne, it's clear to see that the 22-year-old model owns a signature style many Brit girls can relate to. In fact, she's got a real London spirit: Think pretty dresses with grunge-inspired flat ankle boots or statement earrings worn with a plain tee and jeans."
