You won't often (er, ever—we checked) find Karl Lagerfeld wearing sneakers himself, but he gives the people what they want, and everyone wants sneakers these days. While Lagerfeld has certainly designed the comfy kicks for Chanel, Fendi, and his namesake label over the years, he hasn't teamed up with a major sneaker brand in the past, as many designers opt to do. But that's all about to change. WWD just confirmed that Lagerfeld has designed a capsule collection with Vans that will launch on September 7—just in time for New York Fashion Week.
Images of the Karl Lagerfeld x Vans collection have yet to be released, but according to WWD, "The capsule’s six interpretations of Vans footwear classics include the Sk8-Hi laceless platform and Old Skool laceless styles outfitted in leather with the quilted letter-shaped detail atop white platform soles, and a solid black leather Classic Slip-On — also with the quilted letter K." Prices for the sure-to-be coveted collection will start at $40 and top out at $300.
